Job Title: Camera Operator – Xmas Grotto
Overview
We are looking for friendly, confident, and tech-savvy individuals to join our Christmas team as Camera Operators at our magical Xmas Grotto. You'll be responsible for capturing those unforgettable festive moments as families meet Santa, ensuring every photo looks fantastic and is ready for guests to take home. Full training is provided — all you need is enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn
Responsibilities
- Operate a professional camera to capture high-quality photos of children and families with Santa.
- Interact warmly with visitors to ensure they feel comfortable and enjoy the experience in front of the camera.
- Assist with setting up and maintaining camera equipment, studio lighting, and backdrops.
- Ensure smooth photo workflow — from capturing images to sending selections for instant printing.
- Maintain a tidy and organised photo area to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Troubleshoot minor technical issues (e.g., restarting software, adjusting lights) with guidance from the team lead.
- Manage queues efficiently to keep the experience enjoyable and on schedule.
Requirements
- Confident communicator with a friendly, approachable personality.
- Basic understanding of cameras, computers, or photo-related technology (full training provided).
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and stay calm during busy times.
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring every guest receives a well-composed and high-quality photograph.
- Team player with a proactive attitude and strong customer service skills.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and peak festive dates in November/December.
Desirable (but not essential)
- Previous experience using DSLR or mirrorless cameras.
- Retail or customer-facing experience.

Pay: £12.00-£13.00 per hour
