Overview

Are you a passionate nursery professional with a heart full of love for little ones?

We're looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Nursery Practitioner (L3 or above) to join our vibrant and caring team at Rocking Horse Montessori Nursery.

As a key member in shaping the early years of our children's lives, you'll help create a warm, stimulating, and nurturing environment where babies and young children can explore, learn, and grow. Your creativity, organisation, and caring nature will shine through in the daily activities you plan — supporting not only each child's development but also their happiness and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality childcare and education to children aged 0–5 years, with a particular focus on babies.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that support learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a welcoming and supportive nursery community.
  • Observe, assess, and record each child's progress, ensuring individual needs are met and shared with parents.
  • Communicate effectively with families regarding their child's milestones and any concerns.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organised environment that promotes learning and exploration.
  • Support children's social, emotional, and physical development through play-based learning.
  • Follow all nursery policies, procedures, and safeguarding guidelines with care and professionalism.

About You

  • Qualified at Level 3 (or above) in Early Years Childcare or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
  • A sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Excellent communication skills — both written and spoken.
  • A genuine passion for childcare and early years education.
  • The ability to inspire, nurture, and motivate young children.
  • Knowledge of the Montessori approach is desirable but not required.
