About The Role
As Senior Manager Consulting at vector8 in the UK, you will partner with leading clients from the retail, banking and insurance industry to design and implement AI-driven strategies. Together, you shape business transformations — from refining propositions that deliver measurable business outcomes to driving change management and optimizing organizational design.

You will join a small, entrepreneurial, multi-disciplinary team where your expertise will directly shape the firm's impact. This role requires strong consulting foundations, a passion for networking and business development, experience in leading teams and a willingness to travel for client engagements.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in a leading strategy or technology consulting firm, ideally with focus on the following industries: retail, financial services incl. banking and insurance
• Proven track record in strategic management and / or technology consulting
• Strong foundations in consulting: communication, project management, facilitation of workshops, business development / selling projects and outcome-driven delivery
• Enthusiastic generalist with a sweet spot in future-oriented business strategies and technical knowledge
• Genuine enthusiasm for AI
• Advantageous: Expertise in data and/or AI strategy, governance and change management, with the ability to structure and oversee large-scale initiatives
• Minimum 4 years of experience in professional team management and disciplinary leadership
• Ability to lead, inspire and collaborate - with a drive to create impact for both clients and team members
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (French or German is a plus)

Job Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership (C-Level), fostering strong, collaborative relationships and integrating into key strategic decision-making processes
• Proactively identify and develop growth opportunities across the client's broader organizational landscape
• Lead complex, cross-functional transformation programs that drive change across strategic, operational, technological, and cultural dimensions—delivering outcomes on time, within scope, and to the highest standard
• Guide and coach the strategy team to enhance their effectiveness, strengthen collaboration, and support successful, cohesive delivery.
• Apply proven strategy frameworks and delivery methodologies (e.g., operating model design, agile transformation, data/AI roadmapping) to ensure impact and train your team
• Travel internationally as part of high-profile client engagements (primarily Switzerland and France)
• Lead and build the UK strategic consulting capability working closely with the market lead, growth and delivery teams to drive value.
