Overview

We are seeking a skilled Gas Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in various technical tasks related to gas installations, maintenance, and repairs. This role requires a commitment to safety and quality, ensuring that all work complies with industry standards and regulations.

Duties

  • Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances and systems in residential and commercial settings.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of gas systems to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment effectively to carry out installations and repairs.
  • Perform plumbing tasks as needed, including the installation of pipes and fixtures associated with gas systems.
  • Engage in assembly tasks for various components of gas systems, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
  • Carry out heavy lifting as required during installations or repairs while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including any necessary documentation for compliance purposes.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople as needed to complete projects efficiently.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Gas Engineer or in a similar role is highly desirable.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment is essential.
  • Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to installations.
  • Experience in plumbing and carpentry is an advantage.
  • A valid commercial driving licence is preferred for transportation of equipment between sites.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as part of daily duties.
