Dairy Assistant

Aspiring cheese maker required for this unique opportunity

Part of a small friendly and hard working team, we are looking for someone who is physically fit, numerate and takes pride in their work. Attention to detail is essential for us to maintain our high standard production of award-winning traditional cheddar cheese.

Your responsibilities will include helping assist in the day to day running of the dairy which also consists of caring for and moving the cheese in our maturing stores, so the role is physically demanding. You will also be assisting in packing / production.

We make the only cheddar in Cheddar - traditional raw milk cheese, produced by hand and long-matured in cloth.

This is a full-time position, around 40 hours, five days a week. Weekend work available. Full training will be given. (Pay rate dependant on age)
