Backed by clear policies and procedures, an experienced team, and a robust support structure, you can really be effective in this key leadership role. You will take on a variety of responsibilities: making sure our services are managed effectively, developing our offering, monitoring the quality of our work, and helping us meet our statutory obligations. With high demand for our services, we must be adaptable and creative, and you will lead the way.
You will also be responsible for hiring new staff and building a team that can achieve consistent high levels of service. While you are developing your team, we will help you to progress your own professional development through excellent training, mentoring and support from committed senior leaders.
The required experience:
- Recognised Professional qualification (degree or diploma) in Social Care and hold the relevant registration with Social Work England
- Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) qualified or able to demonstrate a willingness to undertake the training.
- Experience of supervising Adult Social Care professionals or the potential to do so, for example development work in a health or social care setting.
- Understanding of health and social care legislation
- Skills in leadership and performance management.

Hybrid working arrangements are applicable to the role, this includes elements of office-based working, client visits and working from home. You will need to demonstrate you can meet the travel requirements of the role in your application.
