In 2016 we opened our doors with just one production line and 8 years later we have 200 employees and 14 production lines.

We're blazing the way for modern British Manufacturing from our home in Armthorpe, Doncaster.

Your Next Role
Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Design & Development Technician will work within the New Product Development Team to define project requirements and product specifications to support design activities and development for pre-production and high volume sofa manufacturing.

This role will work directly with internal teams in planning & production, together with procurement and third-party suppliers to implement the New Product Development process; produce production ready files & drawings, prepare prototypes for testing & validation, facilitate change requests, create product specifications & assembly guides and support the manufacturing process.

Additionally, you will utilize best practices and engineering principles to develop cost-effective and structurally sound frames. Your role involves generating detailed 3D CAD files and production drawings, collaborating on prototype development with upholstery and technical teams, and creating Bill of Materials (BOM) lists. You will also produce product information packs, specifications, and assembly training guides, while ensuring product compliance through coordination with compliance teams and testing agencies.

Let's take it on
The Design & Development Technician role requires an individual with a degree-level technical qualification, (preferably in Furniture Design, Product Design, Product Design Engineering, or a related field), along with at least two years of experience in design development and a new product development process.
