Location: Hounslow, West London
Contract: Starting from January 2026
Pay: MPS (Main Pay Scale) or equivalent

A Catholic primary school in Hounslow is searching for a Year 4 Teacher to cover a class from January 2026. This Year 4 Teacher position is ideal for qualified teachers who are passionate about supporting pupils' academic, social, and emotional development. The school also welcomes experienced teachers seeking a new challenge in a supportive, community-focused environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Year 4 Teacher who is creative, engaging, and eager to make a lasting impact on pupils' learning and development.

  • No written marking for teachers; Friday PPA sessions led by support staff
  • Two-form entry with just under 400 pupils
  • Mac/Apple school – teachers keep devices until departure; all support staff receive iPads
  • Cycle-to-work scheme and small staff car park
  • Therapeutic approach to supporting pupils, particularly those with behavioural needs
  • Student teacher placements through Roehampton, St Mary's, and Surrey South Farnham SCITT
  • Experience in Catholic education welcomed, but not essential

The Role:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons within Year 4
  • Supporting pupils' learning, development, and well-being
  • Encouraging confidence, independence, and a love of learning in all pupils
  • Providing pastoral and academic support within a collaborative staff team
  • Supporting one pupil with an EHCP who will require additional in-class support

We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (Primary)
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and child development
  • Positive, engaging approach with excellent communication skills
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (Year 4 experience preferred)
