Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. Duties

  • Planning and delivering age-appropriate activities that promote learning, socialisation, and development
  • Supervising children during playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods to ensure their safety and well-being
  • Supporting children's emotional and behavioural development through positive guidance and encouragement
  • Maintaining accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
  • Collaborating with colleagues to organise daily schedules and special events
  • Communicating effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns
  • Ensuring the nursery environment is clean, organised, and complies with health and safety regulations
  • Assisting with administrative tasks related to childcare documentation as required
  • Driving children to organised outings or activities when necessary

Experience

  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood setting is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated management and leadership skills within a childcare environment
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Experience with child development principles and early childhood education practices
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities
  • Valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting children or attending external activities
