Press Worker

We are seeking a skilled Power Press setter / Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating press machinery to produce high-quality steel components. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Operate various types of press machinery to fabricate steel components for silver tableware.
• Set and operate machines as required ensuring precision and quality standards are met.
• Utilise hand tools and tooling equipment effectively during the production process.
• Troubleshoot any operational issues.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and improve efficiency.

Skills:

• Proficient in setting press tools for cutting, rolling, stamping and raising.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate press machinery effectively.
• Familiarity with hand tools and tooling techniques used in metal fabrication.
• Basic maths skills for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet production deadlines.
