Technical Service Engineer
to join our team in our company, located in
Ipswich, UK
.

Qualifications

  • Preferably bachelor's degree in civil engineering or similar departments
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in the building envelope sector
  • Knowledge of fire resistance/protection requirements in line with current and emerging standards
  • These are bonuses:
  • Specific experience with mineral wool panels and fire rated PIR
  • Experience of dealing with architects, main contractors and roofing & cladding contractors
  • Driving license (able to visit site for training and warranty inspections)
  • Extensive travel can be required across the UK, Ireland, and Turkey, so comfort with frequent travel is essential
  • Team Player with a "can do attitude" and excellent communication skills

Job Description

Working closely with the sales team;

  • To visit site and evaluating product warranties and their features and limitations.
  • Making site investigations and technical evaluations for customer claims.
  • To give formal customer trainings about products and services at HQ and / or site
  • Reading drawings and doing take offs.
  • According to UK fire regulations evaluating to Part L and boundary wall + compartmentation conditions.
  • Working with Head Office,

to product generic details for specification purposes in CAD, Adobe, MS Suite, etc.
