Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Plater to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with expertise in Structural steelwork and MIG welding. As a Plater, you will be responsible for preparing profiles, tacking on the profiles and welding to the engineers recommendations, for various projects, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process.
Duties
- Operate hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts.
- Perform MIG welding and other welding techniques as required.
- Fabricate components from metal according to specifications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate assembly.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet industry standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and resolve any issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Plating and welding, particularly MIG welding, is essential.
- Previous experience fabricating staircases and balconies is an advantage but not essential.
- Familiarity with fabrication processes and metal work is highly desirable.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to metalworking.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Experience in assembly processes within a manufacturing environment is an advantage.
