Job Overview

At Waterspace Living, we build and sell luxury floating homes - we are looking for proactive team members to help with maintenance and presentation of our beautiful boats.

This role requires a practical individual with basic maintenance skills and a willingness to drive to our various locations in London and on the Thames to help with minor repairs / exterior cleaning and assist in the dressing of our floating homes ready for marketing.

This role is ad hoc, offering 1-2 days per week and offers career progression and further hours for the right candidate. Training will be provided.

The successful candidate must be within 1hr from our main operational areas - stretching along the Thames from Limehouse (E1) to Taplow.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and carry out minor repairs eg touching up paint / fixing dripping taps /
  • Installing stern exterior tables / installing deck cushions putting up mirrors
  • Must be a confident driver and willing to drive a small van and be happy to handle furniture eg sofas / build flat pack furniture for dressing boats in preparation for marketing
  • Jet-wash boat exteriors and clean exterior windows / decks to high standard
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs promptly and professionally

Requirements

  • Must have a full UK driving licences and age 25+ and have use of own vehicle (expenses paid)
  • Confident working alone and use initiative to solve problems
  • Must be happy working on boats in marine environment - safety briefing and equipment will be provided
  • Willingness to learn and have a can do attitude
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Willingness to work flexibly with occasional weekend work

Preferred

  • Experience or an interest in boats / sailing / marine industry preferred but not essential
  • Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and manuals effectively

This role would suit someone with an interest in boats / dealing with people. Our marinas are friendly places and we have very good relationships with our clients so someone the role requires someone who enjoys meeting people and wants to be part of a small, close-knit team. No two days are the same so you must be willing to muck in and help out wherever required at busy times.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
