Company Description

We are an early stage AI company building the intelligence layer for the energy sector. As AI becomes the primary interface for work, energy companies are held back by fragmented public, proprietary, and internal data that generic models cannot reliably use. Critical workflows still depend on manual research across sources like power prices, weather data, regulatory codes, zoning maps, and internal asset performance data.

We are building an AI platform that integrates and structures these sources end to end, enabling energy teams to run complex, agentic workflows on top of trusted data. This includes everything from market and asset performance reporting to origination, site identification, outreach, and full data room reviews. We are backed by top tier investors and are assembling our founding team in London.

Role Description

This is a full time, on site role in London for a Founding AI Engineer. You will help design and build the core semantic intelligence layer of the platform. The role sits at the intersection of infrastructure and intelligence, with ownership across data ingestion, retrieval systems, and agentic workflows.

You will work closely with the founders to shape early systems, make key technical decisions, and ship production grade AI features that customers rely on for real business decisions.

What You Will Do

  • Build retrieval systems that combine structured and unstructured data sources
  • Design knowledge representations such as vector indexes and knowledge graphs
  • Implement multi step agent workflows with strong guarantees around context, tools, and outputs
  • Create scalable pipelines for ingesting and structuring external and internal data
  • Take ownership of AI systems from idea to production

What You Will Work With

  • Python, LLMs, vector databases, knowledge graphs
  • Agent frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph
  • Modern product stack including React, TypeScript, Supabase, and AWS

Qualifications

  • 2 to 5 years of experience building production AI or data intensive systems
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals and systems thinking
  • Experience with agent based systems
  • High ownership mindset and comfort working in fast changing environments
  • Background in computer science, engineering, or a related field
