The Electrical Control Panel Wireman is responsible for assembling, and wiring electrical control panels used in industrial applications. This role involves reading and interpreting electrical schematics, following wiring diagrams, and ensuring the panels are built and wired to customer specifications. The Wireman will work closely with engineers, electricians, and other team members to ensure the proper functioning of control panels.
Responsibilities:
- Control Panel Wiring: Accurately and efficiently assemble, wire, and connect electrical components within control panels according to provided electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct functional tests and troubleshoot control panels to identify and resolve any wiring or assembly issues. Ensure the panels meet quality and safety standards.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of panel wiring configurations, modifications, and any troubleshooting performed. Complete necessary documentation related to panel assembly and wiring.
- Compliance and Safety: Adhere to electrical codes, regulations, and safety guidelines while performing wiring tasks. Identify and rectify any safety hazards or non-compliance issues.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with engineers, electricians, and other team members to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the panel assembly process.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished control panels to verify proper wiring, connections, and component placement. Report any defects or deviations from specifications.
- Tools and Equipment: Properly use and maintain tools, equipment, and testing devices required for panel assembly and wiring tasks.
