Position Summary
As our Rooms Controller at St. Pancras London, you are responsible for coordinating the hotel's daily room allocations and ensuring seamless collaboration between Front Office and Housekeeping. This role manages inventory systems, guest preferences, upgrades, and operational needs. The Rooms Controller works closely with the Front Office leaders to deliver accurate, timely, and efficient room assignments that support exceptional guest experiences and smooth departmental operations.
Responsibilities: Here's what your journey with us entails
- Efficiently oversee daily room allocations, queues, mobile check-ins, early arrivals, and In-Gauge upgrades, ensuring accuracy and timely communication with Housekeeping and Front Office.
- Maintain full control of room inventory in Opera and MARSHA, opening or closing categories based on business needs and pick-up patterns.
- Ensure all systems, room statuses, and allocation processes remain accurate, compliant, and audit-ready. Conduct regular checks to prevent discrepancies between Housekeeping and Front Office, resolving issues quickly and effectively.
- Deliver an exceptionally high standard of five-star luxury lifestyle service for every guest interaction.
- Handle clear, consistent communication with all internal departments related to room readiness, guest expectations, and operational priorities.
- Maintain professional grooming, body language, and communication that reflect the St. Pancras and Marriott brand at all times.
- Use your system knowledge and problem-solving skills to support seamless front-of-house operations.
- When required, support the Front Office Team by covering Reception, Guest Services as directed by Management
- Ensure full mastery of the Rooms Controller task list and deliver all responsibilities consistently on every shift.
