Little Lambs Childcare is a unique childcare setting based in Pentire, Newquay.

A permanent position has arisen within our setting, to work alongside our other qualified childcare practitioners. This is a great opportunity to work as part of a strong and friendly team in our wonderful home based setting.

We are a small team and care for up to 15 children per day within pre-school and 6 under 2's.

The nursery is open from 8am to 6pm, all year round.

We care for children aged 0-5years.

Our Ethos-

The first few years of a child's life are important and fundamental to their future. Therefore, we strive to provide a home-from-home environment where children are nurtured, secure and most importantly, feel safe within our care to learn and develop.

Our days are filled with experiences and play based learning which is led from the children's innate curiosity. The children are supported by our qualified early years practitioners who enhance their learning opportunities.

You will be required to ensure children receive the highest level of care, kindness and education. You should be an inspiring practitioner with a good knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework, planning for next steps and development and recent experience of working in childcare.

Essential criteria-

Minimum Level 2 childcare qualification

Good communication skills

Ability to work well as part of a team

Experience with under 5's

Exceptional knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures

First Aid

Job Type-

Full time hrs per week

Part time hrs per week

Schedule:

Monday to Friday between the hours of 7.45am-6.00pm

With the option for more hours to cover staff sickness and holidays

No weekends

We aim for this position to start January 2025, with training and meet the team during December.

Job role is permanent and all year round
