We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate professional to join our countywide Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) Team as an Advanced Practitioner. This is a unique chance to step into a leadership role, deputising for the Team Manager while continuing to carry out vital Best Interests Assessments.

About the Role:

As an Advanced Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our DoLS service.

You will:

  • Deputise for the Team Manager, supporting the operational delivery and development of the team.
  • Lead on reflective practice, mentoring and coaching colleagues to build confidence and consistency in practice.
  • Streamline processes, helping to improve the efficiency and quality of our assessments and
  • outcomes.
  • Continue to undertake Best Interests Assessments, ensuring that every assessment upholds the fundamental human rights of the individuals we serve.

This role is ideal for someone who is ready to step up, take on more responsibility, and develop their leadership skills in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

We're seeking a qualified Best Interests Assessor with:

  • Substantial experience in adult social care and complex casework.
  • A strong understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and DoLS legislation.
  • A passion for mentoring, reflective practice, and service improvement.
  • The ability to lead with empathy, clarity, and purpose.
