Mechanical Supervisor

The role:

Our recent growth and success have created the need to expand our team, and we are now looking to recruit a Mechanical Supervisor with advanced knowledge of Commercial Plumbing & Supervising.

You must also be able pass a strict vetting process set by the prison, DBS check.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience working in secure environments, military, health or similar sectors, you must be an experienced plumber, qualified to C&G 6305, C&G 6189 (plumbing) and/or NVQ Level 3 in plumbing. Experience working on commercial/industrial heating, water or building service systems, ability to work to water supply regulations and control of legionella L8 requirements.

Excellent organisational, time management and people skills, rounded knowledge of risk and compliance and demonstrable planning & project management skills.

Responsibilities:

• Managing & assisting workforce as well as issuing tickets to a small team of mechanical engineers to fulfil ad hock maintenance requests from the prison establishment
• Update compliance folders ensure all records are up to date
• Ability to carry out work to a high standard
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with all safe operating procedures specific to the industry
• Manage own time effectively

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• NVQ Level 2/3
• CSCS
• Hold of a Full UK Drivers Licence and have own transport & tools
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to deliver a great quality job on time
• DBS is essential (if you do not already have this, we can assist with getting it)

You must:

• Must have previous experience as a working supervisor
• Speak fluent English
• Be able to pass background check and vetting procedure to access prison
• Have own transport & tools
• Hold a full UK drivers licence
• Experience in Commercial Plumbing
• Experience Managing Teams
• Can use a computer / portal systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £230.00-£250.00 per day
