About the Role:

The
Management Accountant

reports to the Finance Director and works closely with the Accounts Manager, this is a hands-on role responsible for monthly management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement. You'll play a key part in ensuring financial accuracy, efficiency, and insight across the business

. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare 
    monthly management accounts
    , including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cashflow.
  • Prepare supporting 
    working papers
     with variance analysis and commentary.
  • Manage 
    accruals, prepayments, depreciation
    , and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Conduct 
    margin and overhead reviews
     and provide KPI analysis.
  • Manage and develop
    project costing
    analysis in Xero.
  • Oversee 
    stock and inventory reconciliations
    , ensuring accurate integration between Ob1 (our bespoke stock system) and 
    Xero
    .
  • Support 
    budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow planning
    alongside the Finance Director.
  • Manage 
    Hire Purchase accounts
     and multi-currency transactions.
  • Assist with 
    year-end accounts preparation, tax submissions, and Companies House filings
    .
  • Drive 
    process improvement
     and help strengthen internal financial controls.
  • Provide 
    financial support and insight

to operational teams across Live Production and Sales Integration

Candidate Profile:

  • Qualified accountant
     (AAT Qualified or above).
  • Minimum 
    5 years' management accounting experience
     in a commercial setting.
  • Strong 
    Excel
     and 
    Xero
     skills; experience with stock or ERP systems advantageous.
  • Experience in a 
    fast-paced, capital-intensive environment
     (hire, manufacturing, or live events desirable).
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and communication ability.
  • Hands-on, adaptable, and collaborative with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Can be Part-time initially (approx. three days per week), with scope to increase hours as the business grows over the next 3-5 years.
