Shift Pattern: 2 Days on, 4 days off (Sleep in Required)

Salary: From £28,000-£31,000 per annum.

We are thrilled to be opening a brand new solo placement children's home in Letchworth Garden City, to sister our "Outstanding" home. We are looking for passionate and experienced staff to join our brand new team

Please note, the shift pattern is 2 days on 4 days off, which does include a sleep in- The right candidate must also hold a full UK driving licence.

Role Overview:

You will be working with young people up to 18 years old. You will play a vital role in supporting and helping them to build confidence, life skills, and resilience in a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build positive relationship with resident to support their emotional and social development.
  • Support daily routine, including meals, education, and activities.
  • Create a safe, nurturing environment where young person feels secure and valued.
  • Manage challenging behaviour using de-escalation and positive behaviour strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records including logs, reports, and incident forms.
  • Participate in household tasks like cooking and cleaning when applicable.
  • Work flexible shifts/Rota including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Relevant qualifications in youth work, social care, or a related field are preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage and motivate young men from diverse backgrounds.
  • Attributes: A proactive and energetic attitude, with a passion for working with young people. A commitment to being a positive influence and role model.
  • Requirements: A valid UK driver's licence and a clear Enhanced DBS check or willing to complete one.
