The Insurance Analyst will play a key role in executing GSK's insurance strategy, supporting the preparation of renewal submissions and coordinating renewal activities. They will become an SME in the Risk Management Information System (RMIS) and support the deployment of other digital and automation opportunities across Insurance. The Analyst will also oversee insurers providing multinational services to ensure adherence to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), working closely with GSK's Local Operating Companies. This role will support efficient and effective insurance processes to ensure compliance with internal policies, cost optimisation, and risk mitigation across GSK.
Key Responsibilities
- Collate, review, and analyse insurance-related data. Work closely with local operating companies (LOCs) and other internal stakeholders to understand variances in exposures year on year.
- Prepare insurance submissions across major lines including Property Damage & Business Interruption (PDBI) and Public, Product & Clinical Trials Liability Insurance (PPLCT) for review by the Insurance Manager and the Director of Insurance.
- Allocate insurance costs between LOCs participating in different insurance programmes.
- Oversee the performance of fronting partners in delivering multinational services (policy issuance, invoicing and Captive cession) in accordance with pre-agreed KPIs and SLAs. Act as a service escalation point for the Local Operating Companies and internal stakeholders with the insurance companies.
- Act as departmental SME on the Management Information System (RMIS), leveraging analytics and reporting tools to improve administrative tasks and generate insights. Support the deployment of other digital tools and automation projects within the Insurance team.
- Deliver the renewal process for Pro Bono insurance policies by collaborating with legal and compliance teams to ensure comprehensive coverage for pro bono services. Support the wider insurance team in coordinating renewal activity as required.
- Assist in preparing, managing, and monitoring the insurance budget, identifying variances, and providing regular reporting to management.
- Ensure operational delivery related to policy issuance, premium payments, governance, and compliance, including Third Party Risk Management and communication with CIRM fronting partners for tracking invoices, payments, and captive payments.
- Support the completion of governance and compliance tasks including Third Party Risk management.
Basic Qualifications
We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:
- Experience in a supporting role within the finance or insurance industry. Familiarity with insurance processes, policies, and data management is beneficial for understanding the role and delivering high-quality work.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analytics tools; excellent attention to detail and the ability to analyse complex data and contribute to strategic decision-making.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across a large, global organisation.
- Attention to detail and ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- Experience in corporate insurance, risk management, or treasury roles within a multinational organization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate insurance renewals, premium allocations, and compliance processes.
