Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a traditional english food pub cook, . This role involves preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. The successful candidate will have a keen interest in culinary arts and a commitment to delivering excellent service. Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or working within a restaurant setting is essential . This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to specified recipes and standards
- Assist with meal preparation, ensuring timely delivery of dishes during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Support team members in serving customers when required
- Manage stock levels and notify management of supplies needed for efficient kitchen operation
- Ensure all food is stored correctly and labelled appropriately
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or within a restaurant environment is essential references will be needed
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Experience with meal preparation and culinary techniques
- Familiarity with serving food in a hospitality setting is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team
