Full Time / 37 Hours Per Week / Fixed Term for 12 months

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting families across Leicester City. As a Family Hub Navigator, you'll act as the first point of contact for parents, carers, and young people accessing support through the Family Hubs. Join are dynamic and vibrant Family Hubs team, to provide guidance, information, and signposting to help families access the right services at the right time, promoting early help and improving outcomes for children and families.

The dedicated team includes a group of professionals working collaboratively to deliver the national Family Hub model. Comprising of Family Hub Leads, Navigators, Outreach Workers, and Administrative Support Officers, who work in partnership with health, education, and voluntary sector organisations.

The team's key focus areas include developing integrated services for families, enhancing access to early years and parenting support, and strengthening community engagement across Leicester's neighbourhoods.

This is a full time, fixed term position working 37 hours a week Monday to Friday, with the occasional evening or weekend work as required (for 12 months). The Family Hubs team operates a blended working model, with staff based both within community settings and across Family Hub sites.

You'll work closely with families in their local communities — engaging with schools, early years settings, GP practices, and partner agencies — as well as attending hub meetings and planning sessions to support joined-up service delivery.

What you'll need

As a motivated and approachable individual who is passionate about supporting families and improving outcomes for children and young people. You'll have experience of working with children, young people, and families in a community, education, or early help setting. In addition, you'll have knowledge of local family support services and an understanding of the challenges families may face.

You'll have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and positive relationships. Within this role you'll have autonomy in your own work but must also have the ability to work collaboratively with professionals from a range of agencies. As someone who has good organisational and problem-solving skills you'll be able to prioritise competing workloads.
