The Role

We're looking for a
Working Site Supervisor/Manager
— someone who can lead a team and contribute directly to site activities. This is a hands-on role suited to a multi-skilled builder with strong general building experience, confident in managing people, coordinating trades, and maintaining high standards on site.

You'll oversee day-to-day operations, ensure work is delivered safely and professionally, and represent the company with pride. Many of our projects involve private residential properties, so respect, discretion, and clear communication are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Taking responsibility for the smooth running of sites, from set up to completion
  • Working directly with master builders, craftsmen, and contractors to deliver exceptional results
  • Producing and working to programmes — short term and long term — to ensure delivery
  • Quality assurance, including auditing the works undertaken by all team members
  • Problem solving and decision making to keep projects on track
  • Representing the business on site with professionalism and integrity
  • Ordering materials in a timely manner to keep projects on schedule
  • Supporting Contract Managers with progress updates and client communication
  • Championing safety, workmanship, and attention to detail on every job
  • Leading by example — solving problems on site and keeping the team motivated

Requirements

  • Strong general building experience across multiple trades
  • SMSTS qualification (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
  • Previous experience supervising or leading teams on site
  • Ability to work cleanly and respectfully in private homes
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • References and portfolio of previous work desirable
