We are looking for a friendly, confident person who loves being around people and good grub

We are a small, family run business, with a passion for quality, and supporting other small, local businesses. We are only a small team so the ideal candidate will be reliable and approachable, with a proven record of your reliability via a reference. A positive attitude, excellent attention to detail and working intuitively are also a must.

We are only an 18 cover cafe, however we can get very busy, so you must be confident, organised and able to multi-task at times. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our cafe and delivering high-quality sustenance to our lovely, local customers.

Some experience with food preparation and cooking is required, however we are willing to provide in depth training to the right person, with a genuine love for quality produce, with a commitment to maintaining food safety standards. You will eventually be expected to perform kitchen duties independently at times.

This is a customer facing role. Duties to include, but not limited to:

• Prepare and cook a variety of simple meals from our traditional cafe menu, according to established recipes and standards
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
• Washing up & deep cleaning
• Collaborating with the team to ensure efficient service
• Assist the front of house team in serving customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring the expected standards in customer service are met
• Participate in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes
• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed

The details:

• Hours: hours per week, to include a minimum of one Saturday per month. More hours may be available on an ad-hoc basis to cover holidays and seasonal changes.

Paid trial shifts will be arranged to determine suitability for the role.
