To support our growing implementation portfolio we are looking for a number of experienced Data Migration Consultants, the roles will encompass all aspects of data migration from extract, build and transformation to cutover.

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your role

You will take an important hands-on role on our complex data migration projects, designing and implementing robust and scalable data mapping and transformations. Delivering reporting and technical documentation to support the migration programmes that we are involved with. In addition you may have the opportunity to work on complex Oracle Cloud implementations working with a mixture of Oracle's PaaS products and open-source technologies.

What you'll do

  • Operate as a Senior Developer in complex Oracle Data Migration projects.
  • Design and implement performant scalable data mappings and transformations.
  • Support Key test cycles, SIT, UAT and liaise with senior stakeholders.
  • Input into data migration planning and strategy. Build extraction and transformation processes. Defect resolution and artefact management.
  • You will be required to work with modern open source or third-party solutions on occasion.
  • You will work alongside Subject Matter Experts from our functional team to deliver solutions which meet the complex needs and requirements of our clients. In addition, you will work with other teams and architects in shaping best practices and frameworks that can accelerate and improve the quality and efficiencies of our deliveries

Your skills and experience

We recognise that the modern Oracle landscape spans an array of skillsets. Whilst the below outlines those key skills sets at a high level, it is not necessary that you have a background which contains experience in all that are listed. We are looking to expand our knowledgeable and versatile team, so, we would love to speak to you if either your background is either in traditional or Cloud-based Oracle implementation.

  • Experience and a proven track record of large-scale data migration projects to Oracle Cloud.
  • Ideally expertise with Oracle Cloud & Oracle EBS in one or more areas (e.g. Finance, Projects, HCM, Payroll) and understanding of the data model and data structures.
  • Good understanding of Oracle E-Business Suite data model and data structures, for data extract.
  • Ability to analyse complex data related problems and provide clear solutions.
  • Knowledge and experience of ETL tools and methodologies.
  • Expertise with Oracle PL/SQL and SQL. A strong candidate may also have experience in other eBusiness Suite related integration (e.g, Java, OAF, Workflow, forms, reports, BI, etc)
  • Knowledge of integration development for Oracle Cloud.
  • Good communication skills and experience with Distributed Delivery experience (Off-Shore / On-Shore project delivery).
  • Able to build productive relationships with clients and peers.
  • Passion and a genuine interest for new Oracle based technologies and products.
  • Strong experience of using source code repositories (primarily git) and knowledge of git strategies.
  • Whilst not essential, knowledge and experience of implementing cloud-based integrations with particular focus on integration within the Oracle cloud, between cloud vendors and also to 3rd party or on-premises applications is preferred (e.g using Oracle Integration Cloud)

To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance .

To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.
