Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in assisting with food preparation and ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant or hotel kitchen. Duties

  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision to support chefs and kitchen staff
  • Ensure all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and properly stored
  • Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas to comply with health and safety standards
  • Support with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with company policies
  • Help with organising stock deliveries and checking inventory levels as required
  • Support the team during service hours by ensuring all areas are hygienic and well-maintained
  • Follow all health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all staff

Experience

  • Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
  • Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, or culinary techniques is advantageous
  • Experience with serving or working within a hospitality environment will be considered a plus
  • Familiarity with kitchen operations and maintaining cleanliness standards is beneficial
  • A proactive attitude towards learning new skills within the culinary industry is highly valued
