Job Overview

We are seeking a professional and vigilant Door Supervisor to oversee access control and maintain safety at our premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security of all visitors and staff, providing assistance in emergency situations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills are essential. The successful applicant will be committed to maintaining a safe and welcoming atmosphere while adhering to all relevant safety protocols.

Duties

  • Manage entry and exit points, verifying identification and authorisation of visitors and staff
  • Implement loss prevention strategies by observing suspicious behaviour and preventing theft or unauthorised access
  • Respond promptly to incidents, providing first aid when necessary and liaising with emergency services if required
  • Enforce rules and regulations to ensure the safety of all individuals on site
  • Maintain detailed logs of security activities, incidents, and any irregularities
  • Conduct routine patrols around the premises to identify potential security risks or hazards
  • Assist with crowd control during events or busy periods, ensuring smooth flow of visitors

Experience

  • Previous experience in security or a related field is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
  • First aid certification or willingness to obtain certification is highly preferred
  • Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert over extended periods
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of handling difficult situations professionally and calmly
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or overnight shifts as required

Pay: £12.21-£13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week
