Ocean Healthcare are looking for compassionate, experienced carers to join our Complex Care team in and around Exeter. With various day and night shifts available, this is a flexible opportunity to support a range of individuals - both adults and children with complex health and care needs.

Whether you're looking for regular hours or something to fit around other commitments, we'd love to hear from you.

Who do we support?

You'll support a range of service users with a variety of conditions, working closely with families and our nurse-led team to make sure each person receives the care they need, when they need it.

In Exeter, we support a broad mix of children and adults with complex care requirements, including but not limited to:

  • Epilepsy and seizure management
  • Cerebral palsy and neurological conditions
  • Autism and learning disabilities
  • PEG feeding and nutritional support
  • Airway management, including tracheostomy and ventilation care

We can give you a better idea of what you might be doing when we speak to you.

You'll be fully prepared for your role through face-to-face training delivered by our nurse-led team and expert Trainers. We tailor your training to the specific needs of the service users you'll be supporting. This will give you the confidence and skills needed to make a real difference.

Pay Rates & Shifts:

Shifts are available throughout the week, including both day and night options. Shifts mostly vary between 4 and 12 hours. We'll work with you to match you and your availability to the individuals we are supporting.

Pay Rates range from £13.00-£18.55 per hour. Rates vary by shift type (day/night/weekend) and by complexity.

What Makes You a Great Fit

We're looking for people who are:

  • Experienced in care or support work
  • Reliable, caring and confident
  • Happy to work a mix of day and/or night shifts
  • Able to travel to service users in and around the Exeter area
  • Keen to expand your knowledge and skills with ongoing, tailored training

Previous experience with complex care is helpful – but not essential. What matters most is your commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred support.

What You'll Need:
  • At least 1 year of UK experience as a Healthcare Assistant or Support Worker.
  • Two UK work references (at least one must be care-related).
  • Reliability and Good Communication
  • Right to work in the UK (We do not offer Work Visa)
