PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A PART TIME POSITION - WEDNESDAYS, THURSDAYS & FRIDAYS.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. This position requires a strong commitment to maintaining a high standard of hygiene and patient comfort.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and ready for use.
  • Provide excellent patient care by reassuring patients, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns they may have.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update information as necessary, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and sterilisation of dental instruments and equipment in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow to optimise clinic efficiency.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental health.

Skills

  • Strong patient care skills with a genuine desire to support individuals in a clinical setting.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • Background in nursing or relevant qualifications that demonstrate an understanding of healthcare practices.
  • IT skills for managing patient records, scheduling systems, and other digital tools used within the practice.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients, families, and team members.
