  • In this role, you'll define the future of our financial ecosystem. You won't just deliver solutions—you will be the essential force ensuring our Banking as a Service (BaaS) platform remains the backbone of our business vision, driving innovation that unlocks massive value for our clients and customers
  • This is your opportunity to inspire and lead the BaaS Product organisation, fostering the development of Product Managers, Product Owners, and Designers
  • This key role will include working directly with clients to design appropriate financial journeys, solve business problems, and launch market-leading products while ensuring timely delivery of client solutions
What you'll do

Day-to-day, you'll lead and take accountability for the BaaS product strategy and its successful execution, aligning with the overall business strategy and the NatWest Boxed Product Vision.

In addition, you'll be responsible for:

  • Balancing commercial, technical, risk, and user experience (UX) factors to maximise the business success of the BaaS product line
  • Leveraging deep functional and industry knowledge of BaaS, Embedded Finance, and associated technology to shape market-leading products, operational tooling, and developer tools
  • Collaborating with product teams on product architecture, API and SDK design, documentation, white-label products, sales and support materials to ensure they are easily understood by non-technical customers
  • Managing processes and productivity within the product team and drive operational excellence through concept, design, build, launch and in-life
  • Supporting collaboration with other business functions and clients to design, prototype, and test solutions for prioritized customer problems
  • Supporting the Sales team to maximize the reach of both existing and planned products
The skills you'll need

To be successful in this role, you'll have experience of product leadership in modern technology businesses and financial services, including embedded finance. Furthermore, we'll expect you to have an understanding of multiple product technologies across event driven architectures, Web, Mobile, API (and associated documentation) and SDKs alongside experience of guiding sales teams to sell the right products to the right customers.

You'll also need:

  • Relevant Financial Services experience across Banking-as-a-Service and Embedded Finance (ideally Savings, Term Lending and PoS Lending)
  • Excellent communication skills and capable of leading senior client meetings, and keeping the wider organisation abreast of progress
  • Excellent stakeholder relationship building skills with the ability to interact with other business functions and third party vendors
