Job Purpose:

The Project Manager will oversee and coordinate all activities regarding the construction project, ensuring that the project's constructability aligns with the works information, managing the supply chain, managing the project budget and programme, identifying potential risks, and maximizing opportunities. This encompasses responsibilities such as budgeting, scheduling, coordinating with design, and ensuring compliance with company, client, and industry regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work on multiple projects at same time
  • Maintain and develop new subcontractor resources
  • Work with Pre Construction team during the transition from pricing to contracts
  • Create construction programmes with P6 Planners for projects
  • Liaise and build relationships with clients to ensure collaborative working throughout the project life cycle.
  • Manage change control on the project with commercial department
  • Review all project documents for compliance with budget, company/client standards and constructability
  • Prepare job specific strategy to maximize value for our clients and EB
  • Plan, lead, and coordinate through out the life cycle of a project.
  • Assist the estimating team with project estimates and analysis of subcontractor bids
  • Qualify prospective subcontractors and suppliers

The candidate must be honest, show integrity prepared to work as part of a team and show a positive and hardworking attitude and be easily adjustable to changes.

Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in water/wastewater treatment projects.
  • A minimum of five years' experience in a design and build project delivery role within the water industry
  • Strong knowledge of AMP frameworks and UK water industry standards.
  • Experience working with contractors/water utility companies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Construction Management or Engineering Degree
  • Previous experience as PM for a construction company
  • Experience in utilizing a variety of contract delivery systems
  • NEC 3 knowledge and experience
  • SMSTS
  • CSCS
