Overview
Riverbank is a long established nursery serving the community in Ayr, for over 25years. We are looking for a qualified, enthusiastic, motivated and positive Early Years Practitioner who has a passion for working with children, and the drive to achieve outstanding practice. You will need to always demonstrate your commitment to children, taking into consideration their care and wellbeing, safeguarding, learning and development.
Requirements
- Candidates must hold HNC in Early Education and Childcare or equivalent.
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is essential.
- A genuine passion for nurturing children's growth and development.
- A commitment to creating an inclusive environment that respects diversity among children and families.
Candidates who do not hold the relevant qualifications will not be considered
Key Responsibilities
- Support the creation of a safe, warm, caring, home from home environment where each child feels secure, supported and valued.
- You will be an excellent communicator and demonstrate a professional level of verbal and written communication skills.
- You will have experience in delivering the Curriculum for excellence, with a sound knowledge of Realising the Ambition, GIRFEC and supporting documents.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care at all times.
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to create a supportive team environment, showing willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment, adhering to all infection control and health and safety guidance.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in early childhood education.
