𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄:

We are looking for a Data Architect to join our team in London, UK, responsible for designing the semantic backbone of the company's data ecosystem, including the enterprise knowledge graph, governance framework, and scalable data models.

You will collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure consistent, governed, and trusted data foundations that power near real-time analytics, AI models, and business intelligence.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀:


• Design and implement the enterprise knowledge graph to unify business entities.


• Define and enforce semantic models, ensuring traceability, consistency, and quality.


• Establish data governance standards for lineage, quality checks, and compliance.


• Collaborate with Data Engineers to implement scalable ingestion pipelines aligned with architecture principles.


• Work with Data Scientists to ensure semantic models are ML-ready.


• Contribute to BI and reporting strategies, ensuring data models support actionable insights.


• Define technical standards for storage formats (Parquet, Delta/Iceberg, Avro) and APIs to avoid vendor lock-in.


• Drive best practices for metadata management, data catalogs, and observability.

𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀


• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Management, or related field.


• 7+ years of experience in data architecture, governance, or enterprise data modeling.


• Expertise in Azure Synapse, Databricks, and Azure Data Lake Storage.


• Strong experience with Snowflake and modern data warehousing solutions.


• Proficiency in SQL and Python; exposure to Scala or Java is a plus.


• Proven track record in designing knowledge graphs, semantic models, and governed data platforms.


• Fluent in English (written and spoken).


• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀:


• Experience with MDM platforms (e.g., Profisee) and metadata management tools.


• Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.


• Knowledge of FinOps practices for data platform cost optimization.


• Previous experience in trading, commodities, or energy industries.
