Location: Broughton (on-site requirement)
Contract Duration: Until 31 December 2026 (with potential for extension)
Working Pattern: 35 hours per week, 4.5 days between 7am-7pm (hours agreed at business discretion)

About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Conformance Engineer to join a leading aerospace organisation's Quality Development Programmes & Major Industrial Projects team. This role is pivotal in supporting the industrialisation of major modifications, incremental developments, and industrial transfers to enable serial manufacture at current and ramp-up operating levels.
You will play a key role in driving the resolution of complex quality issues and continuous improvement projects, setting measurement standards, and facilitating improvements to increase process performance, reliability, and repeatability throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure full quality industrialisation of major modifications and developments, supporting serial manufacture and rate ramp-up.
- Prioritise Production Organisation Approvals (POA) activities to maintain a high level of product safety.
- Provide quality input into risk, multi-function, planning, and stakeholder reviews.
- Apply and deploy Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and quality standards.
- Support and facilitate Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (FMEA) in design, process, and machinery.
- Create and update control plans to incorporate modifications as required.
- Plan and execute Production Process Verification (PPV) to validate all routings.
- Lead cost of non-quality forecasting and support mitigation activities.
- Provide lineside support for local test campaigns and manufacturing during Start of Production (SoP) phases.
- Support the cascade of Key Characteristics (KC) and Critical Items (CTI) from design and manufacturing engineering functions.
- Support APQP activities, including decision trees, applicability matrices, and key business deliverable assessments.
- Experience in a quality engineering or conformance role within aerospace, aeronautical, or automotive industries.
- Strong understanding of APQP, FMEA, and quality standards.
- Experience is valued over formal qualifications.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Standard day shift initially; candidates should be open to possible shift changes in the future.
- Overtime is paid at a premium rate (25% Mon-Fri, 50% Sat-Sun) for hours worked over 35 per week.
If you have a background in quality engineering and are looking for your next challenge in a dynamic and supportive environment, we would like to hear from you. If you would like additional information please give Ellie at Carbon60 a call on
