We are looking for a Project Manager for a 12-month contract (until December 2026) based in Derby (hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 day working from home per week) on behalf of Rolls-Royce who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs.

As a Project Manager you will be accountable for leading packages of work within the Programmes and Portfolio Team.

In this role, you'll be accountable for the successful delivery to cost, specification and time for a defined package of work within the Team.

As a Project Manager you will:

  • Have Team leadership responsibilities, including the planning and prioritisation of a cross functional team where some members of the team are likely to be in other locations.
  • Be responsible for the creation and management of an integrated set of plans / schedules.
  • Develop and secure budgets for the project(s) and control the forecast and actual costs against the allocated budget.
  • Ensure the effective & efficient implementation of company management processes and implement Programme Management best practice.

  • Degree level qualification preferable or equivalent industry experience.
  • Familiar working in a highly regulated sector.
  • Ideally a member of a professional body or working to achieve an appropriate level of qualification.
  • Experience in a project domain or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience of leading multi-functional teams would be an advantage.
  • Communication, influencing & relationship management skills.
  • A drive to succeed and get things done.
  • Experience using Primavera 6 and Power BI would be ideal.
