Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team in providing exceptional care within our care home environment. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of care for our residents, and supporting the overall mission of enhancing the quality of life for seniors. This position requires strong leadership skills, a compassionate approach to senior care, and the ability to effectively supervise staff while implementing care plans tailored to individual needs.

Hours are 35 per week. This may include being on call as well.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Assist in managing staff schedules, training, and performance evaluations to maintain a high standard of care.
  • Supervise and support care staff in delivering personalised care plans for residents, including those with dementia and other specialised needs.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure that all aspects of resident care are addressed effectively.
  • Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and adjust care plans accordingly.
  • Foster a positive environment that promotes dignity and respect for all residents.
  • Engage with families and provide updates on resident progress and wellbeing.
  • Participate in budgeting and resource management to ensure efficient operation of the facility.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a care home , settings is essential.
  • Proven track record in managing or supervising staff within a care environment.
  • Familiarity with care plans, dementia care practices, and regulatory compliance is highly desirable.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with residents, families, and staff members compassionately and professionally.
