Role Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Events & Bar Manager to oversee our bar and event operations, ensuring a first-class guest experience across all areas of the venue. This is a key leadership position within the hotel, perfect for someone passionate about hospitality, creativity, and delivering unforgettable experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily bar operations, maintaining the highest standards of service, quality, and presentation.
  • Recruit, train, and motivate the bar team to deliver consistent, engaging, and professional service.
  • Develop and refresh creative cocktail and drinks menus that align with guest preferences and seasonal trends.
  • Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Oversee the bar's POS system, cash handling, and ensure operational accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager on budgeting, cost control, and achieving financial targets.
  • Work alongside marketing and social-media teams to deliver engaging promotions, activations, and offers.
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations.
  • Support and coordinate with the Sales team on all event bookings, private hires, and venue takeovers.
  • Act as the lead contact for event days, managing floor teams, running briefs, and ensuring seamless execution.
  • Drive new event business opportunities, developing partnerships and creative initiatives to increase revenue.
  • Plan and manage event budgets, timelines, and client communications from enquiry to delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external event planners and suppliers to enhance our event offering.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Bar Manager, Events Manager, or Operations Manager within a quality hospitality environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of cocktails, beverages, and bar operations.
  • Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills.
  • Experience managing budgets, targets, and operational performance.
  • Passion for creating memorable guest experiences and delivering luxury service.
  • Solid understanding of event operations, logistics, and planning.
  • Knowledge of food safety, health & safety, and licensing compliance.
  • Experience in a hotel or premium bar/restaurant venue is highly desirable.
