Patrol and Control Security Officer

Excellent opportunity to join the expanding Scorpion Security Patrol and Control team

We are seeking an officer to work 12 hour shifts in a 4 On /4 Off shift pattern, whereby you will fulfill each of the following roles, in rotation,:

Patrol Officer : Duty includes mobile patrols, key holding response, lock and unlocks. Each Patrol officer average no more than 20 duties over a shift – a strong emphasis on quality not quantity. Pay when working as Patrol is subject to a Minimum of £14.00 per hour.

Assist Officer : Splitting the shift between supporting the control room regarding dispatch and dealing with CCTV activations, arming and disarming systems and the mobile patrol duties as detailed. Pay when working as an Assist is subject to a Minimum of £15.00 per hour

During the initial probationary period you will receive training in order to fulfill the third, key role within our Out of Hours teams:

Lead Control Officer : Based solely in our control room and primarily dealing with our monitored CCTV systems, arming, disarming and dispatch – don't worry full training is given to progress into this role. Pay when working as a Lead is subject to a Minimum of £16.00 per hour

In addition to the Minimum base pay for each of the roles, officers are awarded Stars depending on experience, each star adds a further £0.25 to the hourly rate of pay to a maximum of 4 Stars - because the above roles require 2 years experience you would join the company earning an additional £0.50 per hour on top of the rates detailed above - £14.50 for Patrol, £15.50 for Assist and £16.50 for Control

Our officers work in teams, and if for any reason part of a shift is delivered by a reduced team on duty, the hourly rate is increased for you by a further £3.00 per hour.

Finally, vacant shifts are highlighted in advance so that overtime can be booked but if, as has happened on occasion, we need short notice cover and you are asked to work a shift with less than a week's warning, a further £5.00 per hour is added to your hourly wage.

Therefore a sliding scale of an hourly rate of pay between a minimum of £14.50 and potential £24.50 applies to all officers within the team - subject to role, team size and planning at the time.

Your 12-hour shift requirement would fall between our out of hours service times of 18:00hrs to 08:00hrs Monday to Sunday with an additional minimal share of Saturday and/or Sunday daytime shifts also rostered. Flexibility is often important however as we run a small dedicated team whom will pick up extra shifts or move some shifts around to allow colleagues time off etc - its important your a team player as all officers will help each other out in this manner.

In addition to your Holiday allowance of 20 days per year, we actively encourage officers to propose shift swaps – another advantage of all officers being multi skilled. This means that you can, in agreement with colleagues, pick up or drop shifts to make full use of the 4 On 4 Off rotation and maximise your off shifts without necessarily using up holiday allowance.

We would therefore be most interested in hearing from reliable, dependable, professional security officers with some PC skills, clear communication and an ability to work flexibly within a team.

To be considered you must have :

· A full UK driving licence for Manual vehicles

· A valid SIA Licence

· Live no more than 30 minutes from our offices here at Moulton Park (NN3 6QB) due to the shift demands of the role.

· Proven ability and availability to work night shifts primarily

· At least 2 years' Security Officer experience of Multi Site Mobile Patrols not just Static Guarding

• At least 18 months control room experience, monitoring multiple CCTV sites from one control room.
