Job Summary

We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our fast-paced culinary team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about food and eager to develop their skills in a professional kitchen environment. You will play a key role in supporting our chefs and ensuring smooth day-to-day kitchen operations while maintaining the highest food safety and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with food preparation and basic cooking under the guidance of the kitchen team
  • Prepare ingredients including washing, chopping, and portioning
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen
  • Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as required
  • Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
  • Support the team during busy service periods and catering events
  • Serve food to customers or staff when needed, ensuring excellent presentation
  • Assist with stock checks and report any shortages to management

Requirements & Skills

  • Previous kitchen experience or basic culinary training is preferred but not essential
  • Basic understanding of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Experience in a restaurant, takeaway, or catering environment is an advantage
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work well under pressure
  • A positive, reliable attitude with a willingness to learn
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team
