Are you passionate about people, purpose, and progress? We're seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled Nursery Nurse to join our remarkable Community Perinatal Mental Health Team, where compassion, innovation, and inclusivity are at the heart of everything we do.
We are a dynamic and multidisciplinary team providing specialist perinatal mental health support to women, birthing people, partners, and families across Bristol, North Somerset, & South Gloucestershire.
The team has a shared care ethos, working closely with primary care, maternity services, adult mental health teams, early years' services and independent sector organisations to ensure that women can have access to specialist support, advice, risk assessment and care planning in relation to their mental health needs.

You'll bring strong experience, in working with people during the perinatal period but particularly in relation to caring for their child, and ensuring the bonding with, and wellbeing of, their baby.

Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide perinatal support to antenatal and postnatal mothers in the community, promoting and modeling a high standard of care at all times within the birth-to-five framework.
- Participate in the assessment of needs, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care programs for mothers and their babies.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to local policies at all times, in line with Trust policy.
Ante-natal Preparation

- Support families with common baby issues and signpost as needed.
Encouraging Social Networks
- Provide opportunities to run parent groups to encourage socialisation and signposting to local children's centres.
- Offer practical advice to mothers on establishing patterns and routines to care for their baby.
- Signpost and assist families in attending current parenting programmes at local children's centres.
- Identify local age-appropriate play opportunities.
Team Working
- Contribute to the development of staff and students as appropriate.
- Work within a team of healthcare professionals to provide the best care possible.
- Make effective use of clinical supervision to reflect on and develop own practice.
