The Role:
- Responsible for planning routes for a fleet of ca. 20 vehicles.
- Planning routes UK wide.
- Ensuring that routes are planned in an efficient, cost-effective manner.
- Liaising with drivers on a daily basis.
- Reporting to the Transport Manager.
- Dealing with internal and external sales team.
- Liaising with customers on a daily basis.
- Planning loads of up to 25 tonnes.
The Ideal Candidate:
- 2+ years experience as Transport Planner.
- Must have worked within heavy haulage or plant hire/services.
- Fully versed in ad-hoc, manual planning.
- Polite telephone manner and good customer service skills.
- Excellent geographical knowledge of the UK.
- Has a positive, can-do attitude.
