Audit & Risk Recruitment are working with one of the North West's most respected independent firms of chartered accountants and business advisers. With over 200 dedicated professionals, this firm is known for combining deep technical expertise with a highly personalised, client-first approach. They're proud of their independence, which allows them to remain agile and tailor their services to each client's needs — especially in the fast-moving SME space.

They're now looking for an experienced Audit Senior to join their growing team. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety, values autonomy, and wants to work in a supportive environment that's big on collaboration and career development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading on-site audits and managing engagements from start to finish
  • Reviewing and supervising the work of junior team members, with a focus on mentoring and development
  • Preparing clear, insightful audit findings reports
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant audit and quality standards
  • Building relationships with clients and becoming a trusted point of contact
  • Collaborating across service lines to deliver a seamless client experience
  • Proactively identifying risks, opportunities, and process improvements#

What They're Looking For

  • ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) qualified
  • Strong experience within an audit practice environment
  • Solid knowledge of FRS, IFRS, and regulatory frameworks
  • Confident communicator who enjoys working directly with clients
  • A natural team leader who supports and brings out the best in others
  • Bonus if you've worked with CaseWare or CCH (but not essential)
