What You Can Expect As An QA Team Lead

  • Salary of up to £74,000 DOE
  • Permanent
  • Hybrid – from our Kings Hill office, ME19 4UA

In this role, you'll lead a team of QA/System Testers, setting the vision for what "good testing" looks like and driving best practices across the business. You'll define test strategies, frameworks, and plans, collaborate with product and technology teams, and ensure robust, scalable solutions are delivered. Acting as the advocate for quality, you'll mature our testing capability, introduce automation where it adds value, and oversee system and security testing reviews. You'll also present clear, actionable test results to stakeholders and shape the approach for upcoming projects - all while balancing strategic leadership with hands-on technical oversight.

We Are Looking For Someone With

  • Solid test management background within a fast-paced business with experience using multiple testing technologies.
  • Defining a test strategy including test approach, test data management and environments.
  • Functional test planning, preparation and execution including experience of test design techniques.
  • Managing and executing non-functional tests such as load testing, penetration testing and UI testing.
  • Leading and managing a distributed team of test analysts.
  • Working with Agile and Waterfall delivery processes.
  • Working knowledge of one or more source configuration management and defect tracking systems.
  • Strong functional understanding of common retail and e-commerce systems.
  • Confident manner in giving presentations and workshops.
