Role Description
We are seeking a highly organised Awards Assistant (Fixed-Term Contract) to support the Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA) from mid-February to mid-July 2026, providing administrative, data and on-site event support throughout the competition cycle. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and an interest in the wine industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Awards Wine Queries inbox.
- Support producers with wine submissions and updates in our bespoke awards system.
- Research and verify stockists, pricing, grape varieties and regional information.
- Update and maintain data in the bespoke awards system.
- Assist with judges' administration, including bios, photos, account creation and schedule communication.
- Prepare judges' materials (badges, place cards, timetables, etc.).
- Support on-site at ExCeL, London during judging weeks.
- Assist with post-judging tasks, including results preparation and producer feedback.
Requirements
Essential
- A supportive team player who remains calm and professional under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets or similar tools.
Desirable
- WSET Level 3
Additional Information
- Temporary contract from
mid-February to mid-July 2026. - This role offers hybrid/remote flexibility until the end of March and again after 15th May.
- From April 1st until 15 May, you must work from our office in Paddington and be available on-site (ExCel, London) for judging weeks.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
