The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail orientated individual to join our dynamic and experienced airline sales team working for one of Africa's leading airlines. In this role you will drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, nurturing strong client relationships, and delivering effective sales strategies across the travel industry. You'll work closely with our experienced sales team to achieve ambitious targets and support the continued success of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development:
Identify, target, and develop new business opportunities within the airline and travel sectors. - Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients with regular sales calls as well as identifying new prospective clients. - Sales Activities:
Deliver engaging sales presentations and product demonstrations to travel trade partners and tourism boards. Create sales strategies / marketing plans with customers designed to increase sales revenue for the Airline. Ensuring fares are loaded correctly and visible in agent's systems. - Reporting & Analysis:
Track client and route performance, prepare detailed reports, and analyse sales data from available sources (MIDT) to identify opportunities for growth, new business. - performance, prepare reports, and analyse sales data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Events & Representation:
Represent the airline at industry events, trade shows, conferences, arrange and participate in FAM trips.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven track record in airline sales (ideally 2+ years' experience in the UK market)
- A solid understanding of the UK travel market and how it operates.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite along with a knowledge of data software packages including MIDT
- Knowledge of Amadeus Altea GDS is preferred.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- A passion for sales and a results-driven mindset
