Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and reliable Bus Driver to operate passenger vehicles safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, strong communication abilities, and a good understanding of vehicle maintenance. This role involves transporting passengers along designated routes, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times. The successful applicant will be committed to providing outstanding service while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.
Duties
- Safely operate buses along assigned routes, ensuring timely pick-up and drop-off of passengers
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and cleanliness
- Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, providing courteous support as needed
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and any incidents during shifts
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and passengers using clear language
- Perform minor maintenance tasks such as checking fluid levels, tyre pressure, and reporting any mechanical issues
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times
- Ensure the bus is kept clean and presentable for passengers
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving or delivery driving roles with a valid driver's licence
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and troubleshoot minor issues
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with driver licences preferred
- Excellent communication skills in English to interact effectively with passengers and team members
- Good organisational skills to manage schedules and routes efficiently
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally during busy periods or unforeseen incidents
- Knowledge of vehicle safety standards and maintenance procedures is advantageous
