Position Description
At CGI, we are proud to be a trusted partner to the NHS and wider Healthcare sector, helping transform services through innovation, data, and digital solutions. As our Business Development Lead for NHS/Healthcare, you will play a critical role in shaping growth opportunities that deliver tangible outcomes for our clients and the communities they serve. Working at the intersection of technology and healthcare, you'll help expand CGI's impact across the sector, building relationships that inspire progress and enable lasting transformation. In this dynamic role, you'll take ownership of growth initiatives, apply creativity to solve real-world challenges, and be supported by a collaborative network that empowers you to make a meaningful difference.
CGI was recognised in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work List 2025 and has been named a UK 'Best Employer' by the Financial Times. We offer a competitive salary, excellent pension, private healthcare, plus a share scheme (3.5% + 3.5% matching) which makes you a CGI Partner not just an employee. We are committed to inclusivity, building a genuinely diverse community of tech talent and inspiring everyone to pursue careers in our sector, including our Armed Forces, and are proud to hold a Gold Award in recognition of our support of the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant. Join us and you'll be part of an open, friendly community of experts. We'll train and support you in taking your career wherever you want it to go.
Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position.
Your Future Duties And Responsibilities
In this role, you will be at the forefront of CGI's healthcare growth strategy, leading business development efforts that strengthen our partnership with the NHS and broader healthcare ecosystem. You will identify, shape, and secure opportunities that connect CGI's expertise in digital transformation, data, AI, and managed services with client needs. Acting as a trusted advisor, you'll influence senior stakeholders, foster collaboration, and translate strategic vision into meaningful outcomes.
You'll work closely with CGI's healthcare, alliance, and subject matter expert teams to craft winning strategies and deliver measurable business results. Empowered by CGI's culture of ownership and innovation, you'll play a pivotal role in helping clients modernise systems, improve patient outcomes, and achieve their long-term goals.
- Lead & Innovate: Drive business growth across the NHS and Healthcare sector.
- Develop & Deliver: Build and convert a robust pipeline of strategic opportunities.
- Engage & Influence: Develop multi-threaded executive relationships across clients and partners.
- Shape & Win: Lead end-to-end pursuits, coordinating bid responses and proposal teams.
- Translate & Align: Turn client insight into tailored, high-impact solutions.
- Represent & Advocate: Act as a CGI ambassador at industry forums and events.
- Collaborate & Grow: Partner with cross-functional experts to deliver sustained client success.

You'll be confident engaging with senior stakeholders, skilled in shaping technology-led solutions, and driven by a passion for delivering measurable impact across the NHS and healthcare landscape.
- Proven experience in business development or strategic sales within Healthcare.
- Strong understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, including Alliance Partners and solution vendors.
