Handyman/woman

We are looking for a handyman/woman to join our team, working at a retirement complex in Salisbury. Duties include light maintenance jobs (e.g. painting, picture hanging, putting up shelves etc...), communal area maintenance (e.g. sweeping of the carpark, rotating and putting out the bins, cleaning the bin room, sweeping up balconies etc...), health and safety checks (e.g. emergency lighting checks, legionella prevention such as regular water temperature testing, fire extinguisher check etc...), including paperwork to back up those checks (meaning tick sheets, forms and reports). Successful applicant must be able to complete an online training as a part of the role. Good understanding of spoken and written English is essential. Polite and patient approach required. Experience working with older people welcomed but not necessary.

This is a part time role of 15-16hrs/week. Hours can be spread over 3 or 4 days a week, from Monday - Friday.

Current hourly rate: £12.30/hour
